I got the book and had it finished in three days. It is written just like Jeff is talking to you, just telling you his stories. You can even hear that South Carolina accent while you're reading! I really enjoyed the book, and highly recommend it to everyone... Jackal fans or not.
I read it in one sitting stopping only to catch my breath and wipe away the tears! No Filter..Stories Better Feft Untold Part I is a "must read!" A collection of stories that couldn't be made up told with real southern accent!
I spent the majority of the book laughing so hard I was crying. I've known Jeff's sense of humor, but I never imagined it could be this crazy! I can't wait for the next book. Write faster Mr. Worley!
Grade A fun the whole way through. I felt like I was hanging out in a room, listening to a veteran rocker tell these stories to me in person. A great, fun read for any fans of Jackyl and any rock fans
Jeff Worley is one of the best story tellers ever! You can't read this book without hearing the stories being told in that wonderful South Carolina accent. He takes you behind the scenes and on some of the craziest adventures he and the Jackyl boys have had. You don't have to be a fan or a music lover to enjoy this book, but those of us who are...it is a must have!! Such a fun read!
Dear Lord - So funny and such valued stories from the long history of my favorite band - the most humble and hard working band in rock n roll. The vignettes at the end I think made me want to puke, but as he said, it's the truth. Bought it last night and finished it by this morning - as another reviewer said, only stopping to wipe the tears of laughter away and to sleep. My wife couldn't figure out why I was laughing so hard by myself at the kitchen table. As I read it I tried to hear Mr. Worley's crazy Seneca accent in my brain for that extra touch. I've seen the band approximately 40 times, but it's things like this book, and Jacky's anniversary video interview on their DVD from a few years ago that I really treasure at this point, as we get to know them better than from just the music and the handshakes at the post-show meet & greets. Also, it makes me want to compile a book of my own and other fans' stories to share with the band surrounding their music, concerts, and the wild times we've endured - I know me and the rest of their fans could give him a run for his money! An extra bonus for today? I bought the new single Rally yesterday at the same time I bought the book, so I'm getting majorly Jackyl'd off right now. Ready for part two Jeff. 5 stars.
What an adventure! Could not put it down. Thanks Jeff for sharing these hilarious stories of the real history of Jackyl,and the people involved with them for all of these years.
